HISTORY

Created in the age of the old gods, these unique horse-men have a natural passion for war. Their lower half is identical to that of a horse; ranging in size, color, and build just the same. Interestingly their top human-like torso is also just as varied in size, color, and build as humans.

Since the New Dawn of Time, Centaur have warred with everyone. Ask anyone of them and they would proudly boast that their kind does not discriminate. Historically that seems very accurate as they have battled human advancement, warred with giants for game, tried to exterminate gnomes, hunt draconians for their hide and still trade in elven slaves to this day.

They live a life of sparse possessions and all centaur are warriors first and foremost. They live for soldiering and are renowned for their battle discipline. There is no more formidable line than that of a Centaur Battle formation.

There are few races as fierce and battle hardened as the Centaur. This equine race believes there is no greater honor than to die on the battlefield. The older they get the more fierce they become, as the fear of dying off field begins to grip their hearts. Dying of anything outside of battle wounds brings great shame to their house.

Centaur are very hedonistic. They succumb to their base urges with very little provocation. What little restraint they do have is forgotten altogether when alcohol is consumed. It is fortunate that drunkenness is forbidden within their military ranks, less they slaughter themselves in drunken rage.

Fascism - Supreme Chancellor Landor Vasilios

Supreme Chancellor's Bio
A dark-skinned torso, with tight-curled hair and a black-coated Clydesdale body, complete with a firmly cropped tail and jeweled horseshoes. Landor is more than a leader he is an idol for his kind. In the great wars, he earned an immortal place in the tomes of the great library. His feats of glory are sung in the halls of Valhalla as loudly as any Centaurian tavern.

The Chancellor delegates many responsibilities to personally elected leaders that he deems competent enough to handle the responsibilities of that role. Failure is fatal in the royal ranks of the Chancellor's Cabinet. Nonetheless, Landor is from house Vasilios and has been raised since birth to be Chancellor of the Centaur, he has chosen his leadership wisely and stays abreast of his peoples' collective needs.

Chancellor's Guard : Equipped with steel chain mail, steel broadswords, steel round shields and two javelins.

The Capital state of Evates. It's general day to day affairs are handled by the Chancellor Tolenio. It is a bustling state with 

Murton

This is largely the industrial state of the Centaur people. It is home to the largest Centaur population and trades heavily with the the Dwarves of Yavadeth. While Eusemus is the Chancellor of Murton, Belen Faustus dictates much of the day to day affairs. A point of much contention for Eusemus.

Narsallo

Considered the 'front line' Narsallo is where any warrior looking to improve his or her station in life inevitably finds themself. Centaur war constantly and nothing gets their battle drums thumping like the tribes of Giants that live in Sizus. Igetis Alcandros is the Chancellor of Narsallo and reports directly to Karan Obelius.

Dimorus

Named after the beloved clan of the Supreme Chancellor's upbringing, this state possesses the bulk of the Centaur training camps. Considered the heart of Evates this state bolsters a sense of nationalism so extreme that it could easily be considered fanatical. It is ruled by Chancellor Persos Rasmereo who reports directly to the Supreme Chancellor. Persos is the second most influential leader in all of Evates, and he guards that authority with ferocious determination.

Dephippe

A state that sits at the fertile fork of the great "two-brothers" river. Populated mostly by farmers and fishermen River Breeze is considered the state of the impoverished and unhonored. Chancellor Dyneda governs this state with an angry, petulant demeanor. She reports directly to Tadd Vitalis.

Kephia

Home to the ancient city of Penthameia this is the oldest state in all of Evates. It is where their history began and many Centaur make a bi-annual pilgrimage to its capital, Hyrmessa. It is ruled by the Chancellor Morphare who reports directly to Flavian Cicero.

Evaia

Considered a State unto itself it is comprised of two islands. Centaur are notoriously afraid of open water and so very few brave the ferry trip to their shores. However, the bulk of medicines found within Evates originate from this state. Chancellor Galipae Gynaika dictates the day to day affairs of this state and reports directly to Tadd Vitalis, well when she feels like it.
